Car hire, to from and in, FrigilianaThis part of the website is divided into two sections. I have only one recommendation for pre-booking car hire to Frigiliana, and several recommendations once you are in the area.Avoid the "full/empty scam", or add the cost to your quotePlease note that car hire operators are currently implementing a "Full/Empty" Scam. This policy requires the renter to pay for a full tank of petrol at Malaga airport (you are not warned of this on the booking forms). This petrol is charged at about €20 more than it would cost at the station down the road.You are then asked to bring it back empty. Of course this is almost impossible and you are bound to leave maybe €10 of fuel in the car. the car hire company therefore makes (and you lose) another €40 from your rental. The main reason for my recommending Hellehollis is that, while they do charge for a full tank of fuel, they refund you the full amount if you bring it back full. If you obtain quotes from companies other than Hellehollis please add €30 for the "Full/empty scam", before making your decision or confirm with the car hire company that they allow "full/full" fuel policy. Expect to pay about £70 per week for a small car This works out as VERY cheap and far better than the long queues and poor customer service suffered at other companies. It will take you about 45 to 50 minutes to drive to Frigiliana. Car hire once you are in FrigilianaOnce you are in Frigiliana the best availability and prices are likely to be found in Nerja.
