Frigiliana long stay holidays

The warm micro-climate of Frigiliana makes it an ideal destination for winter or spring long stay holidays.

In December and January each week you can expect to get 5 or 6 days of sun for about 6 hours a day, and maximum temperatures will be about 17C, 60F. Nights are chilly and you will need heating for evenings if you are planning a long stay holiday in Frigiliana, or indeed anywhere in Spain.

Early spring is a lovely time for a long stay holiday because of the blossom and the flowers and from mid march you should no longer need heating in the evenings.

How do we define a long stay holiday in Frigiliana?
We have found it is best to keep things simple when defining what a long stay holiday is.

We tend to the view that any holiday longer than four weeks qualifies as a long stay holiday and therefore gets preferential rates.

Our guideline is that, outside peak season, we will always discount our basic price by at least 40% for a long stay holiday. The table below provides guide prices for a four week holiday in this part of Spain.

Please note that the price is the total price and not per person. This means that two people staying for a month will pay about Ł7 per person per night for a long stay winter holiday.

Other costs of a long stay holiday in Frigiliana
As indicated in the previous paragraphs, you will need heating in the evenings from November through to mid/end March. During these months we do charge for electricity used, at cost price (about 13p per KWh).

It is difficult to estimate electricity costs as each person's comfort level is different.

However, 'background' usage during a long stay holiday is about Ł8 per week (lights, TV, cooking etc). The airconditioning heating units cost about 15p per hour to run and turn off automaticaly when the desired temperature is reached

Laundry and cleaning for your long stay holiday in Frigiliana
The apartment will be cleaned before your arrival and there will also be two sets of laundry.

You can either wash the linen yourselves or take it to the laundry. The nearest laundry is about 150 yards from the apartment if you leave the building and turn right.

I can arrange extra cleaning or other services you may require at 20 euros an hour. Please let me know any special requirements before you leave for your long stay holiday.
